Adult Discipleship

We believe it is important to provide plenty of opportunities for spiritual growth. There are specific benefits to coming together in smaller groups for discussion, fellowship and ministering to one another.

Sunday Morning  Adult Sunday School Classes

Throughout the year there are a variety of short term studies offered.  These are typically four to eight week studies that meet either Sunday morning or an evening during the week.  The study might be for men, women or both.

Below are the next series of Adult Sunday School Classes beginning January 6th, 2019 :

Acts, LifeChange Bible Study Part I

In this Bible study on the book of Acts, you will explore the church born among Jesus’ disciples, which grew into a worldwide force in just a few years. Also, this study focuses on the challenge of fulfilling God’s mission. Participants will be encouraged to apply God’s Word to their life. It includes historical insights, word definitions, discussion questions, and assignments.  This study will be divided into two parts and continue this summer.

This class will be held in Room 21 taught by Anita Kipe.

How to Study the Bible

The Bible is no ordinary book, so it shouldn’t be approached in an ordinary way. This class has three objectives in helping us to see how special the Bible really is.

Create an excitement about the Bible.

Increase our Bible knowledge.

Learn how to study the Bible in order to understand and apply it.

Pastor Lawton and Barrie Crawford will lead this class in the Fellowship Hall.

The Book of Mark – Francis Chan

The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship.

In this 11-part series on the Gospel of Mark, author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him along the ancient ways of the Master. Tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship?

This class will meet in the Sanctuary and be led by Jon Krocker & Grant Benedict.
