We believe it is important to provide plenty of opportunities for spiritual growth. There are specific benefits to coming together in smaller groups for discussion, fellowship and ministering to one another.
Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School Classes
Throughout the year there are a variety of short term studies offered. These are typically four to eight week studies that meet either Sunday morning or an evening during the week. The study might be for men, women or both.
Below are the next series of Adult Sunday School Classes beginning April 7, 2019:
Acts, LifeChange Bible Study Part II
This is the second part continuing the study on the book of Acts. You will explore the church born among Jesus’ disciples, which grew into a worldwide force in just a few years. Also, this study focuses on the challenge of fulfilling God’s mission. Participants will be encouraged to apply God’s Word to their life. It includes historical insights, word definitions, discussion questions, and assignments. This study will be divided into two parts and continue this summer.
This class will be held in Room 21 taught by Anita Kipe.
This class will focus on current events and topics that are relevant to the current times we live in. Be prepared to process difficult topics through a biblical lense. We should always be asking the question, “What does the Bible say about this?” The primary resource for this class will be an internet service called, The Wired Word.
Create an excitement about the Bible.
This class will meet in the Sanctuary and be led by Grant Benedict, Barrie Crawford and Jon Krocker.
We will be able to slow down the pace of the membership class and spend extra time on topics like, the Brethren in Christ core Values, the history of New Guilford and the Brethren in Christ. We will try to answer the question, “Who are the Brethren in Christ?” we will also help you know how you fit in at New Guilford through looking at your Spiritual Gifts, and God-given passions. This class will be good for anyone who wants to learn more about our church and denomination. You don’t have to feel obligated to become a member because you take this class.
Pastor Lawton will lead this class in the Conference Room.
